SAT Overview

The SAT exam is the most widely used college/university admission test in the USA. Some American universities request the SAT scores for all applicants, even if English is your second language.

What is the SAT about?

Reading, Writing and Math, which are broken down into 10 sections.

How is the SAT organized?

The SAT is divided into 10 sections:

One 25-minute essay
Six 25-minute sections (mathematics, critical reading and writing)
Two 20-minute sections (mathematics, critical reading and writing)
One 10-minute multiple-choice writing section

The total exam time is 3 hours and 45 minutes (including breaks).
